Terms of Service
한국어Effective: September 25, 2026
This English version is provided for convenience. If it conflicts with the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
1. Purpose
These Terms govern the use of the INKKOO app and web service (the "Service") provided by INKKOO Co., Ltd. (the "Company"), and set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and its users.
2. Definitions
- Artist: a member who performs tattoo or permanent makeup work professionally and uses the Service to manage consultations, bookings and session records
- Client: a person who uses the Service to consult with or book an Artist. Clients may use the Service through a link sent by an Artist without creating an account
- Content: any information a user uploads to the Service, including designs, photos, videos, text and consultation messages
3. Nature of the Service
The Service is a toolthat helps Artists consult with Clients, schedule bookings and keep session records. The Company is not a party to any tattoo or permanent makeup procedure. The contract for a procedure is formed directly between the Artist and the Client. The Artist determines and is responsible for the procedure's content, quality, safety, schedule, price and refunds. The Company does not guarantee any procedure or an Artist's qualifications or legal compliance.
4. Accounts
Users sign up with a Kakao, Apple or Google account or an email address. Accounts are personal and users are responsible for keeping their credentials secure. The Company may restrict use or suspend an account where identity theft, a violation of law or a breach of these Terms is found.
5. Payments and deposits
The Service only displays the amount a Client is to pay an Artist and the bank account or payment links the Artist has registered. The Company does not receive, hold or settle Client funds; payment takes place directly between the Artist and the Client. Refund terms for deposits and balances are set by the Artist, and the Company is not a party to refund disputes, although it may provide information recorded in the Service to the extent needed to resolve a dispute.
Where the Company offers paid plans to Artists, the fees, billing cycle and cancellation terms will be presented separately and apply from the time the user agrees to them.
6. Content rights
Users retain copyright in the Content they upload. Users grant the Company a licence to use Content to the extent needed to provide, operate and improve the Service (storage, conversion, thumbnail generation, display to the other party, AI analysis). The Company does not use Content for advertising or other purposes outside the Service without the user's consent. Users must hold the necessary rights to their Content and must not upload another person's likeness or work without permission.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Collecting, storing or exporting another person's personal data, identity documents or medical information without authority
- Arranging, booking or recording procedures prohibited by applicable law
- Consulting or booking with false information, or deceiving other users
- Reverse engineering, scraping or using automated tools on the Service without permission, or interfering with its operation
- Harassing other users or posting hateful, discriminatory or unlawful content
8. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Instagram, Kakao, Apple, Google, maps and payment links. Use of those services is subject to their own terms, and the Company is not responsible for issues caused by changes to or discontinuation of a third-party service. Deletion of Instagram integration data is described in a separate notice.
9. Changes to and suspension of the Service
The Company may add to or change the Service, and may suspend all or part of it for operational or technical reasons. Material changes or suspensions will be announced in the Service or by email in advance. The Company is not liable for loss arising from changes to or suspension of a free service unless caused by its wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Termination and account deletion
Users may delete their account at any time from the account screen in the app. Signing in again within 30 days of the request restores the account; after 30 days the Company deletes the account data except for data it is legally required to retain, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion of an Artist's account does not affect the rights and obligations between the Artist and a Client under a procedure contract already formed.
11. Limitation of liability
The Company is not responsible for procedures, payments, refunds, scheduling or disputes between Artists and Clients. The Company is not liable where it cannot provide the Service due to causes beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, network failures or third-party service outages. Where the Company is found liable, it is not liable for special, indirect or consequential loss or lost profits unless caused by its wilful misconduct or gross negligence. This section applies to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law. Amendments will be announced in the Service at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for amendments unfavourable to users). A user who continues to use the Service after the effective date without objecting is deemed to have accepted the amended Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between the Company and the user; unresolved disputes will be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Where mandatory law in the user's country of residence provides greater protection, that law applies.
